Why LocalWineEvents.com Matters Today
This post was written by my friend in wine, Eve Bushman. Eve is a passionate wine writer and wine aficionado who's always on the go exploring exciting wine and food adventures, and sharing her love for wine! (Shared with permission.)
I don’t know how many years I’ve turned to LocalWineEvents to find events to go to, take a wine quiz, look at “culinary vacations” and market my own non-profit wine, food, and spirit events. I recommended that my own newsletter readers sign up for The Juice newsletter as a resource. Nowadays I repost their Instagram posts frequently, ones with wine events as well as funny jokes – as I know my followers enjoy.
When Covid hit, and everyone stayed home, the website continued to be available. Online courses took center stage and LocalWineEvents was there for us. When I moved to Las Vegas I switched my newsletter from Los Angeles to my new home and started to find new wine bars and restaurants to check out – because of LocalWineEvents.com.
Contributing Editor Michael Perlis has used LocalWineEvents.com for many years as well, for events close to home and to check on events in areas he and his wife Karen plan on visiting. He has also recommended them to others, both wine lovers and event planners. He feels they are an outstanding source that doesn’t get nearly enough attention.
I touched base with the company recently, to find out what’s new for them. There is a Juice Podcast and a wine travel section – both can be found at LocalWineEvents.com. If that’s not enough there are a hopping 6,000 events currently listed on the website – including everything happening at different Total Wine and More stores in the U.S. They are a partner in the COO campaign and a sponsor for Somm Con USA. https://www.comeoveroctober.com/ https://sommconusa.com/
And though they do post advertisements, the basic listing – the one I used for years to promote non-profit wine and spirit events – is 100% free. And I frequently told non-profit leaders that they are a wonderful resource for us to take advantage of in advertising events. They are there for our wineries, vineyards, restaurants and tasting rooms.
One last thing – anything you read on the website is theirs, they “don’t borrow” from other sites.
